Another growth spurt and an unlikely Patron of the Gnomie Arts
Greeting to all of our new readers. The hit stats on our humble Blog have hit the roof (by our standards anyhow)! AS of 5:30 EST we have received over 60 hits. Not exactly Yahoo numbers but we are pleased pink. It is officially one month till Gnomedex! Marc, Kirk and myself have decided to make some more concrete plans for our trip by knocking back a few beer and pizzas tomorrow night. Kirk needs to grab a power inverter to juice up or gadgets while cruising the interstate. We must also decide on any little side trips that might make for an interesting diversion. Got any tips?
I don't want to brag but the gnomies behind this page ponied up BIG US dollars to attend this little shindig. When you factor in the conversion rates for CanaBucks the entrance fee alone was almost $200. Add to this gas for the car, gas from the junk food, hotel accommodation and various other expenses this has turned into a bit of a drain on our funds. I'm not complaining it’s just a fact of life.
Queue the heavenly music.
The Gods of Corporate expenses have smiled upon our little pilgrimage. We decided to ask for the time off basically at the same time. Kirk and Marc report to the Development manager and I report to the VP of Operations here at KTS. While explaining why we wanted the time off we were asked for more information on this whole GnomeDex thing. The upshot of all of this is that KTS is picking up the tab for the entrance fee and kicking in some extra cash for a nice dinner. Sweet!
The three of us wish to thank Martyn Hill and Debi MacDonald for their generous offer.
Cheers

Hello Debi,
Thanks for your interest in our Blog. For those of our readers who may not know, Debi is the VP of something or other here at KTS. Unofficially Debi is known affectionately as "Queen Bee." Thats because she's so sweet. I'd like to thank Debi in advance for the time off to attend GnomeDex and any cash or prizes that KTS might throw our way in our never ending quest to increase our knowledge and understanding of this industry.
Three cheers for the Queen Bee!
Chris
